I just want to take a moment to congratulate all the handlers and picture takers from this class.  Almost all the pictures were great!

This was a beautiful class of Mini Nubian Senior Doelings!  I was very pleased with the great breed character I seen and all the great front end assemblies in this class which lends itself to good Dairy Character, which is hard to accomplish with this breed.  This was a hard class to judge as there was so many beautiful doelings.  I know how hard it is to get good pictures as well as all the work that goes into the preparation.  Congratulations to all!

I placed this class of Mini Nubian Senior Doelings as:

K-L-P-Q-J-G-A-B-D-F-O-H-N-E-C-M-I

Entry K places over Entry L in General Appearance.  When viewed from the top Entry K is wider between the hocks, from the back she is higher and wider in the escutcheon area, in her topline she is more uphill with higher withers giving her more depth and angularity through the shoulder and helps her neck blend smoother into the withers, and when viewed from the top she is wider in the hips which gives her a better dairy wedge in Dairy Character.

Entry L over Entry P in General Appearance.  When viewed from the top and back Entry L is wider between the hocks and a little higher in the escutcheon area, in the topline she is longer in bone especially in the loin with smoother blending of the loin into the rump, from the top she has a little smoother blending of her shoulder into the chest wall.

Entry P over Entry Q in General Appearance.  These two entries are similar but Entry P has the advantage being just a tad wider in the chest floor and she has a closer toe set, from the back she is wider between the hocks and has a higher wider escutcheon area, in the topline she has higher withers giving her a more uphill appearance and is deeper in her shoulder with a longer appearance to her neck, from the top she has a flatter more refined shoulder giving a better dairy wedge in Dairy Character.

Entry Q over Entry J in General Appearance.  Entry Q is wider between the fore legs and when viewed from the side are straight under her withers, in the topline she is stronger in the chine with more extension to her brisket, good breed character about her nose and ears, when viewed from the top she has a little smoother blending of her neck into the chest wall and in Body Capacity she is deeper in her heart girth and barrel. Entry Q does grant to Entry J longer in bone.

Entry J over Entry G in General Appearance.   Entry J shows more angulation in her rear legs when viewed from the side and from the back she is wider between the hocks, in her topline she is longer in bone throughout with more extension to her brisket, a higher wither gives her more angularity at the point of her shoulder and front end and in Body Capacity she is deeper in her heart girth and barrel.

Entry G over Entry A in Body Capacity.  Entry G is longer in bone, deeper in her heart girth and barrel and has a longer leaner neck.  In General Appearance she has higher withers and when viewed from the top she has smoother blending of her shoulder into the chest wall with more width in her hips giving a better dairy wedge in Dairy Character.

Entry A over Entry B in General Appearance.  Entry A has more angulation to her rear legs when viewed from the side and from the back shows a wider rounded escutcheon area, in the topline she is very level throughout especially in her rump and when viewed from the top she is wider in her hips.

Entry B over Entry D in General Appearance.  Entry B is wider between her hocks with a higher escutcheon area, in the topline she is longer in bone especially in the loin with smoother blending of the loin into the rump and a longer leaner neck.

Entry D over Entry F in General Appearance.  Entry D is wider between the fore legs with a closer toe set, has more angulation to the rear legs when viewed from the side, and when viewed from the top she has smoother blending of the shoulder into the chest wall and is wider in the hips giving a better dairy wedge in Dairy Character.

Entry F over Entry O in General Appearance.  Entry F is more uphill in her topline having a higher wither giving more angularity and sharpness about her shoulder with smoother blending of her neck into the withers and her loin into the rump and when viewed from the top her shoulder blends smoother into her chest wall.

Entry O over Entry N in General Appearance.  Entry O is  straighter between the hocks when viewed from the back , in the topline she is longer in bone especially in the loin with a longer leaner neck and when viewed from the top her shoulder blends smoother into her chest wall.

Entry N over Entry H in General Appearance.  Entry N is straighter in the fore legs, with more angulation of the rear legs when viewed from the side, in the topline she is more uphill with  a higher wither giving more angulation about the shoulder with smoother blending of her neck into the withers and more extension to her brisket.

Entry H over Entry E in General Appearance.  Entry H has more width between the fore legs and more angulation to the rear legs when viewed from the side, in the topline she has a little higher wither with smoother blending of her neck into the wither.

Entry E over Entry C in General Appearance.  Entry E is wider between the fore legs with a closer toe set, in the topline she is longer in bone and has a more desirable slope to her rump.

Entry C over Entry M in General Appearance.  Entry C has a closer toe set, when viewed from the back a more rounded escutcheon area and when viewed from the top has smoother blending of her shoulder into the chest wall with more width in the hips giving a better dairy wedge in Dairy Character.

Entry M over Entry I in General Appearance.  Entry M is wider between the hocks when viewed from the back, is straighter in the fore legs, in the topline has smoother blending of the neck into the withers and when viewed from the top has more width in the hips.  Note to photographer the side picture should be straight on so the judge can see the complete side of the goat, in this pic the judge was unable to see the levelness of the topline, slope of rump nor the angulation of the rear legs.

Entry I although standing last in this class is to be commended for her General Appearance with a long lean neck, good breed character and in Body Capacity good depth of barrel.

The 1st place doe is the leader in general appearance for me today.  She's well balanced, yet long and stylish.  She's excellent in body capacity.  She is well sprung in rib.  She remains sharp and open, yet is strong in substance.

The 2nd place doe more closely follows the doe in first in terms of body capacity and overall substance she has.  These factors give her the advantage over the stylish doe behind her.  She's just as long bodied, but has the added dimensional depth needed to place where she is today.

The 3rd place doe is extremely elegant in her profile giving her the added points in general appearance.  She more strong in the area of levelness of top line over the doe in 4th.

The 4th place doe has the advantage in dairy character today.  She's more open and angular throughout.  Having that long lean neck and thinner type skin over the doe behind her.

The 5th place doe is a little more elegant in her overall profile in general appearance.  She is slightly more level across the top when viewed from the side over the doe behind her.

The 6th place doe has the advantage in overall angularity and sharpness.  She has a bit more natural width and depth overall, adding to her body capacity.

The 7th place doe is one where you can really appreciate the breed character.  She just looks like a Nubian doe! We commend the breeder on that 4th generation accomplishment.  She will also have the advantage of body capacity depth over the doe behind her.

The 8th place doe is very uphill, we just loose some angulation to move higher today. It's that sharp uphill, more level top line, that gives the advantage for her today.

The 9th place doe has the advantage in levelness of top line and smoothness of blending bringing more points in the area of general appearance.  She also shows us a slight advantage in terms of body capacity over the doe behind her.

The 10th place doe has the advantage in structural correctness of feet and legs over the doe behind her.  She just needs a more level top line to move any higher.  In dairy character it's her openness and long lean neck giving her an advantage as well.

The 11th place doe has the advantage in general appearance, being more smoothly blended and balanced.  She also has the slight advantage in body capacity having more width about her chest and depth to the chine.

The 12th place doe has a bit more spring and openness about the rib.  She is slightly more smoothly blended about the top line as well.

The 13th place doe has the slight advantage in body capacity over the shallower kid behind her.  She will yield strength of levelness in the top line.

The 14th place kid is a little more structurally sound over the kid behind her.  You really appreciate the overall levelness you see about her top when viewed from the side.

The 15th place doe has the advantage in tightness of toes when viewed from the front.  She also has the slight advantage of more natural width in the area of the hip.

The 16th place doe is just more balanced overall in her general appearance.  She will have more substance in her front quarter adding to her ability for the respiratory system to have more functional space.

The doe standing in 17th place should be commended on her breed character we see in her head and her tightness of toe we see in the front view.
