Although Entry A is a single entry in this class she has good General Appearance showing good width in her chest floor, good angulation of the rear legs and a nice long level topline with higher withers and smooth blending of her shoulder into her chest wall.  In the Mammary System she shows a good medial suspensory ligament and round balanced halves to the udder.

Entry A receives Best udder in class

A single entry yearling milker in a 1st generation oberhasli doe.  Overall a very nice shape to her mammary system.  A doe that is sharp and angular in her dairy character, showing us the start of a beautiful feminine wedge that should get better as she matures. She has excellent depth of rear barrel for her age adding to her overall body capacity.

I placed this class of AOM Does Under 3 years as:

B-A-D-C-F-E

Entry A received Best Udder in this class.  Again Entry A and Entry B were very close in competition , however when viewed from the side, Entry A shows a more capacious fore udder and the udder is well balanced as equal thirds can be seen of the rear and fore udder.

Entry B places over Entry A in General Appearance.  It was very close competition between these two very nice milking does.  Entry B shows a straighter set of fore legs with good width at the chest floor and between her hocks along with good angulation of the rear legs when viewed from the side, both of these does have nice long toplines however Entry B is showing more width again between her pin bones and hips when viewed from the rear.  In the Mammary System Entry B shows a more distinct medial suspensory ligament giving that nice heart shape to her udder.

Entry A over Entry D in General Appearance. Entry A is stronger in her topline especially in the chine,  her front end assembly is much smoother and flatter and she has more width in the hips when viewed from the top.  In the Mammary System Entry A shows a stronger medial suspensory ligament and she has more extension to her fore udder

Entry D over Entry C in General Appearance.  Entry D has more width between her hocks and more angulation to her rear legs when viewed from the side, and Entry D has smoother blending of the loin into her rump.  In the Mammary System when viewed from the rear the udder is more capacious and shows more teat delineation from her udder.

Entry C over Entry F in General Appearance.  Entry C has smoother blending of her neck into her topline,  she has more width in her hips and pin bones when viewed from the top, Entry C does grant to Entry F angulation of the rear legs when viewed from the side.  In the Mammary System Entry C shows a more balanced udder when viewed from the side and a more capacious fore udder.

Entry F over Entry E in General Appearance.   Entry F shows straighter fore legs, her topline is more level and uphill and her shoulder blends more smoothly into her chest wall when viewed from above.  In the Mammary System Entry F has a stronger medial suspensory ligament which creates a nice heart shape to her udder.

Entry E although standing last in this class is to be commended for her depth of barrel in Body Capacity and in the Mammary System for a capacious round udder well above her hocks.

Entry A receives Best udder in class

The doe in 1st place has the unique advantage in terms of blending body capacity and dairy character.  She is angular, sharp, yet distinctly is more mature in her depth of heart and flank than those does standing behind her.  In terms of mammary, she has excellent height to her rear udder and the advantage in fore udder extension, symmetry, and capacity.

The doe standing in 2nd in her turn is showing us an advantage in smoothness of blending throughout and strength of topline over the doe behind her.  This doe follows more closely behind the doe in 1st in terms of body capacity and dairyness.

The doe in 3rd is showing more body capacity today over the doe behind her.  She has a beautiful globular mammary system with nice extension to the fore udder.  She however will yield strength to the medial suspensory ligament to the doe standing in 4th.

The 4th place doe in her turn brings strength and straightness of top over the doe in 5th.

She has more capacity to her mammary and the advantage in fore udder extension to the doe behind her.

The 5th place doe is more level about that topline and has more balance in her general appearance.  She will yield overall capacity of mammary to the doe behind her.

The 6th place doe is to be commended on her depth of rear barrel.  We'd just like to see her showing a little more free and relaxed.

I placed this class of AOM under 4 years old as:

A-C-D-B

Entry C receives Best Udder in this class.  Entry C has a high round capacious udder along with a natural arch-shape to her escutcheon area.

Entry A places over Entry C in General Appearance.  Entry A is longer in bone. Her loin blends smoother into her rump and her neck blends smoother into her withers,  when viewed from the top her shoulder is flatter and blends smoother into her chest wall and she is wider in her hips and pin bones.  In the Mammary System her udder is higher when viewed from the rear and from the side her udder is balanced showing clear thirds of the udder.

Entry C over Entry D in Body Capacity she is deeper in the heart girth and barrel, in General Appearance she is wider between the hocks when viewed from the rear.  In the Mammary System Entry C has a high wide capacious udder with a natural arch-shaped escutcheon area.

Entry D over Entry B in General Appearance.  Entry D is longer in her loin that blends smoother into her rump that has a more desirable slope.  In Body Capacity Entry D is deeper in the heart girth and barrel.  In the Mammary System she shows equal thirds of the udder when viewed from the side.

Entry B although last in this class is a very nice doe, in General Appearance she has smooth blending of her long lean neck into the withers, level through the chine and loin and good angulation of the rear legs when viewed from the side.   In the Mammary System she has equal halves to her udder and a good medial suspensory ligament.

The 2nd place doe has the advantage of height to the rear udder and strength of attachment.  She is sharp and has a beautiful angular wedge shape to her body.

The 3rd place doe has the advantage in mammary capacity and overall symmetry and balance to the doe in 4th.

The 4th place doe is to be commended on her dairyness.
